Q: What do you use in your products?

A: We only use the freshest, highest quality ingredients. All our product is baked from scratch including our delicious marshmallow fondant!

Q: Do you use nuts in your products?

A: Some of our products do contain nuts. All our product is baked on site and therefore may not be suitable for those with nut allergies.

Q: Should I refrigerate my cake/ cupcakes?

A: Both cakes and cupcakes should be eaten at room temperature, and should therefore stay outside of the fridge before and during the event. (Time required to reach room temperature varies based on size). Any leftover cake/cupcake should be kept refrigerated overnight. When refrigerated, the cake/cupcakes will remain fresh for up to 1 ½ weeks. If the cake/cupcakes will not be consumed throughout that time period, it is best to freeze them in an airtight container. Freezing will maintain the product fresh for up to three months. If frozen, please allow 1hr to 1 ½ hours for the cake slices/cupcakes to thaw prior to eating. Do Not microwave. 

Cookies should always be stored at room temperature in an air tight container. Cookies will remain fresh for up to one week. 

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: For regular cakes, only orders canceled with 3days or more days notice will be refunded in full via the original method of payment. Orders canceled with 2 days notice will receive a 50% refund via the original method of payment. Orders canceled with less than 2 days notice will receive 50% of the order value in the form of a store credit

For wedding cakes, orders canceled prior to the 14-day lockout date will be fully refunded via the original method of payment. However, the $75.00 deposit in non-refundable. Orders canceled after the 14-day lockout will not be refunded.

Q: Do you have a return policy?

A: We want all costumers to be 100% satisfied with their Sugar Sketch experience. If for any reason you are unsatisfied, please contact us within 24 hours of your purchase and we will do our best to address your concern. 



Q: How can I place an order? 

A: Please email us at martinanardo@sugarsketch.com. Subject line: Cake/Cupcake Inquiry

Please include your name and phone number, date of event, and type of event. We will get back to you within 72 hours.

Q: How early in advance should I place an order? 

A: The sooner, the better! For wedding cakes, it is best to notify us at least 1 month in advance in order to guarantee availability. For all other orders, we generally require a minimum of 2 weeks notice, depending on availability.

Custom orders are not available on - November 27th, December 26th, January 2nd

Q: How do I know my order has been processed?

AYour order will be processed once payment has been processed. You will receive a confirmation email to notify you that your order has been processed.

For wedding cakes: There is a
$150.00 deposit paid to reserve your date. In the event of cancellation, this deposit is non-refundable. In addition to the deposit, a 50% down payment is required to secure your order. The remaining 50% must be paid up to two weeks prior to the event. Sugar Sketch will not make the cake until the order has been paid in full.

For all other orders: lock down date is 72 hours.

Q: Do you offer tastings? 

A: Yes. Tasting are now $50 and include one 5” cake + 30 mins cake consultation. +$5 for additional 30 mins.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept? 

A: We accept cash and credit cards.

Q: Will my cake look exactly like the one in the picture on your website?

A: Since all of our cakes are frosted and decorated by hand, each one is a unique creation and may not look exactly like the one on our website photos.

Q: Can I create my own design that is not on your website?

A: Absolutely! Sugar Sketch offers customized cakes and cupcakes for any event. If you have a specific design in mind or theme that you cannot find on our website, please contact us and we will create a design specifically for you. 



Q: Do you deliver? 

A:  Yes, we deliver! Delivery fees vary based on location. Please contact us for more information.

Q: What’s the delivery fee?

A: Delivery fees vary based on location. Please note this charge is not included in the pricing per slice. 

Q: What if I am not available to receive my delivery?

A: All deliveries must be signed for. If you aren't available, please make sure someone can receive the order on your behalf. If nobody is present to receive the delivery, your order will be brought back to us and a re-delivery fee may apply. 

Q: Do you ship your cakes? 

A: Currently, we do not ship any of our products.



Q: What is the price of your cakes? 

A: Prices vary based on design.

Q: Do you teach classes? 

A: We hope to be able to offer them soon, however we don't offer any yet.

Q: Do you offer internships? 

A:  Sorry we do not offer internships (yet) 

Q: Do you have any job opportunities? 

A: We are always looking for friendly, hard working people to join our team. If you are interested in working at Sugar Sketch, please email your cover letter, resume, and a few photos of your recent work to martinanardo@sugarsketch.com. We recommend completion from a reputable pastry school along with at least one year of cake decorating experience.
